Rachel was born and raised in Upland, California. She is currently at the University of California, Santa Barbara and is working on her BS Degree in Mathematical Sciences. She is a member of the UCSB Division 1 Women's Swim Team and the treasurer of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Rachel grew up with four older brothers with severe Hemophilia A and a younger sister with mild Hemophilia. She has been to multiple Hemophilia conventions, as well as, doctor's appointments. After, watching her siblings grow up, Rachel became very aware of what the Hemophilia world entails.
Rachel's biggest concern is the newer families that have kids with Hemophilia entering that world and being completely blindsided and unaware of the harshness that it can bring.
Rachel joins HemoAware as the board member, where she is excited to bring her positive attitude, her strong work ethic, and her previous personal experience with hemophilia to help serve those with bleeding disorders.
